This beautifully bred stallion has a pretty head, extravagant movements, lots of presence and a kind temperament. He has won several championships and supremes. His sire won at he West Midlands Show and was 2nd and Reserve Champion Partbred Arab. He has produced numerous county winners including the winning foal at the Arab Championship Show. Gandhi was bred by Sue Freeth of Diptford Stud, Devon. His dam had a very succesful showing career, and is from the famous Pretty Polly line. Polly's Sapphire, a winner of numerous championships in-hand, under saddle and as a broodmare, was full sister of Gems Signet, himself former Pony of the Year, and sire of Holly of Spring, four times Pony of the Year. Sapphire was also the dam of Runnings Park Brut, the Champion Show Hunter Pony. Gandhi's progeny are outstanding, Diptford Tim Thumb for instance qualified for the Royal International Horse Show first time out as a LR.
